WQXGA+ (2880x1800) screen in case any was interested. Even the LG site makes it hard to find that information.

Overall, seems sort of pricey for what it is. Plenty of ASUS 16" 3K OLED laptops in the $1500 and less range with better AMD CPU.

(I'm not counting the "free" portable monitor. Freebies like that can be worth nothing to you or something you were planning to buy anyways.)

which one is 2 in 1 design? I did a quick search and I didn't see any that were 2in1 and sub 3lbs.

This LG isn't "sub 3lbs" either -- LG shows it as 3.08lbs., but with regards to 2-in-1 design, you are correct. I've never needed, used or wanted a 2-in-1 design or pen so i often ignore it as a feature. EDIT: Found an ASUS that almost matches the specs of this LG for $800 less (in post below)

Considering it has OLED + touchscreen, I would check reviews for fuzzy text as it's common for the digitizer layer to cause some effect on OLED screens of unsharp text. This is a higher resolution screen but worth a check.

Just saw this:

Seems like a perfect match (minus SSD) to this LG for about $800 less.

Thank you, but the Asus vivobook 16 flip is 3.9lbs, i'm coming from a Razer Blade 15 that's already 4.4 lbs... I feel like 4.4lbs to 3.9lbs won't be as noticable as 4.4lbs to 3.08lbs.

For context, I'm a road warrior and away from home 6 to 9 months a year so portability has become a high priority for me.

Asus is lunar lake...much more efficient and cool CPU with great single core but bad multi core. Lg gram uses arrow lake. Better multi core but not as efficient as the Asus. My employee discount would get me under 2k for the gram. I can't decide between the two. Asus would put off less heat but only has a single fan so I dont know which is ultimately more quiet. There are no reviews on that specific Asus but the older less efficient Intel models appear to get hot and loud. Tough choice.

Is a 2-in-1 a priority? Going from a heavy gaming laptop to an even larger 16" 2-in-1 touch laptop but portability is key, I'm confused as to what the main features you're looking for? Lenovo has a 2lb. gem but not 2-in-1, if that is important. Is it?

Yes, I work with a lot of excel spreadsheets on planes. So the more screen real estate the better. When it's meal time, I would love to just fold it up in tent mode and watch a movie.

Got it. I found a 16" on a seat tray leaves little room for anything else when I took my MBP16 with me (which was also way too heavy to lug around with the rest of my tech gear). I carry an iPad with a tiny 1TB microsd [a.co] filled with movies and shows for travel media consumption plus useful for general use.
