Windows Hello Face recognition not working??

HI All

I purchased a HP laptop model HP Elitebook 845 G8 last february from the Microcenter. Its got windows 11 pro. It was manufactured in November of 21. However I have never been able to get the Windows Hello Facial recognition to work.. I've been on Youtube and tried many videos and nothing worked. Just last week i got fed up and called HP support. They checked everything out and couldnt figure out what the problem and told me to contact Microsoft.

Upon further research i came upon a article that stated that Windows Hello Face requires a infrared camera which 90% of new laptops dont have. The camera on my laptop is not infrared. Windows Hello face has been out for close to 10 years. You would thing the HP represenative would check this first. Is this valid that Windows Hello only works with infrared cameras? Is there a program i can purchase that will work with the HD camera in my laptop???

You can buy a camera that supports Hello 55 Bucks the infrared is what stops people from just putting a picture of you in front of the camera and unlocking your PC. I am not sure why you would not want to use your fingerprint or a PIN if you want something simple to log in. Using the camera is always going to be slower than most other logon methods.
