I will offer a counterpoint to the virtues of this product. I tried this exact version a few years ago direct from the company and sent it back. The cooling function really isn't cooling as much as it is pumping ambient air from the floor into the sheets. That may or may not be cooler air depending on the region you live in and how humid your air is. I've actually setup a fan next to my bed on hot nights with a small gap exposed at the bottom of the sheet and felt like it was the same experience albeit not as much air flow. I'm not going to dispute whether Bed Jet helps people or not as it either does or does not create a better night sleep but I just could not get on-board for the price point and lack of real cooling. I also felt like the marketing was a bit disengenious. Lastly, I have also grown fond of the feel of a heavy weighted blanket which this product tends to create the opposite. I'm not sure it would be very easy to DIY a replacement (at least the remote control) but I believe they mentioned on the company's Shark Tank debut that it cost a whopping $98 to make the product. Just sharing my two cents and experience with the product.
Not one person mentioned the fact that you HAVE to leave the sheet hanging off the bed - its not like the air gets pumped in no matter what. I personally like to burrito my feet and legs up with the comforter, so this would never work for me.
Also on a side note - do you feel like conversations on here are happening much less? I used to comment a few times a week and would almost always get a response. Now I feel lke half the stuff I say is shadow banned or something.

But if it's hot why would you sleep with a blanket? If no blanket would this thing still work or no better than a regular fan?
It doesn't require a blanket. You can just have the sheet if you want. And it works better than a room fan because it wicks sweat off your body under the sheets/covers with the air flow while you sleep. A room fan doesn't do that.
The heat you may be trying to overcome doesn't have to come from the room, so taking a blanket off might not be the answer. You can start off with a cool memory foam mattress in a cold bed that becomes intolerably hot by morning because the bed's memory foam stores body heat and amplifies it. This product keeps that under control so the memory foam effect doesn't get out of control and the bed is still comfortable by morning.

I've bought 5 of these (and a mini)
My wife was hot and cold constantly throwing covers on and off. She LOVES it.
My daughters each have one and basically just use it to warm up their covers.
Bought one for my 70-something mother in law. She also struggles with hot flashes. She said it was the best gift she ever got. Then one for my mom. And a mini for the wife when we travel, haven't used that yet.
The heat works great and is pretty much instant. Cooling "only" blows ambient air, but if you've ever had 70 degree air flowing over you constantly you get cold fast. Like sleeping on an unheated water bed.
The cloud sheet is a must IMO. It even distributes the air over your body. The "dual zone" sheet isolates temps to one side of the bed.
My wife dropped her remote and destroyed it. I called to buy a replacement and the company sent me one for free.
You can also control it via phone.
The downsides?
1. It draws a lot of power (on turbo). If you have two on a breaker it will trip unless you set them to lower power mode.
2. The hose out the bottom or side of the bed can get in the way. They do have a lower profile hose, but there's still a hose.
3. You definitely need a cloud sheet.
I love them and bought 2 more in this deal. At this price they make great gifts. Despite the MSRP, "normal" price on these is like $370.

Probably? If it's unacceptable, there are other products like cooling pads that circulate (two zoned), which should not interfere with cuddles. But risk of leak or use it without the cloud sheet. you can cuddle but air from one system may leak into the other side.
I got a gel pad for inside my pillowcase. In case my experience with gel pads is helpful, here it is: While the initial sensation of getting the freezer/microwave sensation on my head feels good, by the middle of the night, the gell pad is consistently surface body temp (actually feels hotter, not sure how), which is too hot for me. Because of that, I end up waking up and taking the pad out of the pillow case.
This video tries to test Bedjet's cooling ability against other mattress cooling products in the most objective approach possible. https://youtu.be/WE0hyo6TzMk
Have had this the last three ish years and for the last two years it's been mainly sitting under my bed unused. it works well but you a) really need the sheet which is $$$ (though well made) and b) it doesn't cool super well but the heating works really well.

For the tl;dr crowd, Bedjet was second in cooling performance, but half the price of the first place one. It also has heating, which the #1 in his comparison did not have. Because of the heating feature it also has, he basically recommended the bedjet (he was using the 2.0 in 2024 for this test - a 10 year old product).
I attached a graphic with his ranking with the price of each as quoted by him (except the bedjet, which has this sale price). Higher on his list is better performance with cooling. He didn't rank heating, but said bedjet (the old one) was the best in the video.

Yeah, everyone will definitely want to circle back and get the cloud sheet. It really is the only way to get the full performance from the unit. Our original cloud sheet lasted about 8 years before it wore out.
The cooling part is definitely dependent on ambient room temperature.
At $2300, an Eight Sleep better be better. You're comparing that to a $230 device.
No, I was not comparing at all. Blowing air is a scam and just doesnt work. I was providing people who actually need a cooling/warming bed to know there is something out there that actually does this.
I have 2 of these bedjets. I live in Minnesota, this is fantastic to have in the winter. The cold air is more ambient air, but even in the summer with 78 degree room air, I wake up too cold from this occasionally.
Is there something in the middle to "split" it? Asking because cuddles are necessary at night!
There is, yes. The double sheet has a line in the middle. You'll still get some residual heat if one side is on and the other is not. But the sheet goes over you, so there is no 'separation' between you and your partner, if that's what you mean.

Never tried this. Do sweat at night but more trunk/upper body than feet/legs. Use a regular top sheet and a wool comforter (both untucked). This likely to work ok, or do you really need the Cloud sheet or what not for this to deliver benefit for nighttime sweating?
Cloud sheet helps a surprising amount. I resisted for a season but they got the double sheet as we have two bedjets. Its one of those products i wax lyrical to my friends, and lol I wish I was getting paid to say that.
