Honest question: Is this really worth $3K...used? I'm not a Mac user, but my daughter is (not that she needs this). That's just a skyhigh price, and while I know that the Retina screens are nice -- are they THAT nice? And, yes, I see the 4 TB drive but still.

What makes the MacBook Pro such a monster?

You can get a new M3-M4 max around this price point.
