Thanks,

Follow up: called in, they acknowledged the error. Their system was charging 7.96% sales tax (city), actual is 4.5% (unincorporated). They took the order verbally to get around it. Final for me was the $1997 - $200 gift card + 4.5% sales tax - $200 credit on a new cc = $1677 for a 65" G4.
Was close to getting the C4 at Costco for $1500+$120 (7.96% sales tax) = $1620 (not able to use the new cc credit at Costco). Great deal here, thank you OP.

I ended up getting a new 65" C4 AND 300+ dollars back on a gift card ... and that's why i started buying so much suff at best buy again.. .180 bucks a year and everything is covered under a service plan that saves me so much money it's honestly ridiculous (i have replaced so many video game controllers alone... including ps5 dualsense edge TWICE)
for 180 a year and the fact that they'll price match I have a hard time NOT deferring to best buy for most purchases these days..
I mean look how much apple care costs and ... i just bought iphone 16 pro / watch 10 / airpod pro 2 from best buy and they all got 2 years of apple care for free (i had to pay the difference for the pluis plan on the phone for accidfental damage etc)
EDIT: I should have noted after that last sentence... total tech (or whatever they call it now) covers accidental damage with a really small deduct after year-1 of 2 .... and you can extend the individual coverages after 2 years for relatively cheap.
They even cover drones so i could have smashed my dji FPV into a wall and got a new one for free.
NOt sure why more people don't use it.. I always avoided service plans in the past but to me this has been a godsend and has saved me thousands of dollars over time.
edit 2... C4 is an amazing tv..... the c5 isn't a huge improvement (G5 is a huge improvement even ofver the g4)
G5 can do 165hz gaming... C4/c5 can still do 144hz
The g5 also has better colors better brightness and a lot of other stuff going for it
Another note would be that yes the G's cost a lot more, but they also come with a FIVE YEAR panel warranty from LG (every other oled they sell is a two year)
