No. Only the Miyoo Mini and Miyoo Mini Plus run Onion, and Garlic is outdated.
There are several excellent custom firmwares for the Anbernic XX line, such as MuOS, Knulli, MinUI, and a modified stock OS as an alternative.

This is an incredible price for a great throw-in-your-bag, don't-mind-if-it-gets-beat-up retro handheld. As others have said, budget for a name brand SD card and do a clean install, add your own ROM collection rather than relying on the poorly organized stock card. If the stock card is Kioxia it's likely reliable enough, you can re-flash it and use it for your boot drive.
It was really marketed for people who want to emulate GBA games with the nostalgic GBA SP form factor. The ability to run other systems is a nice bonus. They didn't want to include analog triggers to make it more "authentic".

I think the 35xx h is way better for people who don't care about nostalgia.
This is an unreal deal. I pre order this and paid about $75. So much nostalgia. So little cash.

I got both, and TBH, I use this one more because it folds so small and its ultra portable. I just wish they would make a 4" screen version with thin bezels. I think they would only need to increase the size by a little.
That's actually one of my hesitancies for buying one. If I do decide to buy another Chinese handheld, it def has to be something on the level of an RG 406H or better. I'm just waiting till they eventually get down in price to around $100, and hopefully they won't sell out before that happens.

I'm confused. First you say the flash the cheap SD card that comes with it, then you say it comes with a better one. Which statement is correct?
From what I've read, I think you re-flash the MicroSD that comes with it, which I think means copying the ROMs, re-installing the custom firmware(CFW) of choice, and copying back the ROMs...or to a separate microSD. The card that comes with it is a bit better than the throw-away ones of past that are notorious for breaking.

I totally understand where you are coming from, your thoughts are very valid, that's why it's so hard. Smilie But it's not like these things are "need" but just something nice to have, just the rest of the stuff on this site. Smilie

Finally got mine after getting lost at local post office for 4 days and creating a case with USPS. Magically showed up the next day. Oye.

Curious what people are using and like. Knulli or MuOS? Going to buy another SD card tomorrow and build one of those on it. Likely MuOS.

Also not sure if I got the version 2 of this or not as it doesn't seem to rattle much. Still loud to press the buttons though. Going to mod it as well with tape.

Check for some sort of heat shielding behind the battery. It's literally resting on the chip.

Yep. Its the new one. It has that green shielding as well as little bitty felt circles on many of the buttons. Still going to add tape.

Found that I didn't have a torx T6 bit so had to stop at lowes to get one. This one works great for anyone that found themselves needing one too....

Just finished my tape mod. Wow what a world of difference. I went from almost regret of buying it because it was so loud to it is wonderful.

I used painters tape (masking tape).

Did 4 layers on directional pad and X Y A B buttons. Did 2 layers on Menu and Select Start buttons. Did 3 layers on R1 and R2 and only 2 layers on L1 and L2. I had a piece of foam between R1 / R2 and between L1 / L2. Wow wow wow what a difference.
