I have a pretty decent tolerance for hotness, but these are surprisingly hot for a soup. I think they are very good.

We did not like these. They are EXTREMELY HOT. That is the only flavor that comes through.
If you like flame for flames sake, these may be for you.

These aren't particularly good on their own because there's like no actual flavor. But I found I can put a can in a big pot of chili to get some extra spiciness

These are pretty SPICY and I've done the one chip challenge, the 2x ramen challenge and even ate a whole Carolina Reaper whole.

1700mg Sodium PER CAN.
Yes I am that person.
Otherwise pretty good if you can tank the sodium.
I can't since I have HBP

Can confirm that this is indeed hotter than you expect. We eat a fair amount of spicy food and were taken back by how hot this actual is. Probably only for chili heads, don't get this as something you'll eat when you have a cold, you'll just make yourself more miserable.

Because of this comment alone, I am buying a flat of them. I enjoy the endorphin rush from extremely spicy food, sauces and salsas... may be a good high for me!!!

I'm inferring that these are so heavily discounted because the flavor is unpalatable to many. However, I love Chunky Soups, and even the worst flavor types have been acceptable; far above the average canned soup I've tried. I'm in for a case at $12.83, shipped via S&S. Thanks, OP

This is about 3-4 times hotter than their regular spicy version.

I beg to differ. If you have a cold, This will make you sweat, which will help you heal faster

It's hot but not too crazy. The level of heat is beyond what I would expect from a Cambell's soup though. I will say that you have to like that back of the throat type of burn. It is also not that flavorful outside of the chili pepper heat, and that heat comes from a chili extract so even that taste is not particularly good either. Also it is the vast majority of your sodium intake for the day for normal people, and if you have high blood pressure or any other condition that requires lower sodium diets you go past your daily limit with one can. I would not recommend buying a 12 pack unless you have had it before and enjoyed it.
