Hardtail, which is pretty common. But regardless this e-waste in the making.

Maybe. I bought a cheap ebike on a woot deal about 5 years ago; have had to do a couple of repairs (don't depend on any support from the manufacturer) but all parts except the battery were standard (e.g. Shimano, Bafang) and it's still going strong.

I'm a big fan of 26" x 3" tires on ebikes - more maneuverable than the popular 4" tires, but still will go over bump/cracks/trolly tracks/whatever bs your city has.
The problem here is mechanical disc brakes. For a powerful ebike you really need hydraulic. You could swap them out, but that's not an easy job.

I wouldn't consider this particularly powerful nor a serious mountain bike. I suspect the target user will be fine with mechanical brakes; just learn how to adjust them.

Agree to disagree. This bike will easily hit its max speed. At that speed and weight I would want hydraulic brakes. I have a bike that is very similar to this. I would not buy it again without hydraulic brakes. The confidence when going down any reasonably steep hill, or when just going a bit fast, I just don't think it's the same with mechanical vs hydraulic.
There's a reason all the "name brand" direct to consumer brands basically only sell hydraulic brake ebikes these days.

With a name like Luckeep you know it's gotta be good. Nah, hard pass. Ridiculous name.

for real? back in the day we had Zero shocks front or back.

most of my MTB have Zero shocks front or back bought used or new. one has a cheap front shock which is nice. no shocks less to go wrong.

we don't need hydraulic brakes, that would only be necessary for serious riders, use this as a trail bike or street bike and be happy.

probably is e-waste. can we repair built in batteries? or the wheels?

what is better in the Bargain e-bikes or is there anything out there on the Low End. i am looking, just not seeing much that can be repairable. we need replaceable generic batteries, do these exist yet?

is there any YouTube or web site that has excellent info instead of shills for the e-waste companies?

thanks.

I believe the battery is built into the frame in a removable battery pack rather than an external pack. It would be a really dumb design if they were truly built in and not replaceable. (I just bought one banking on them being removal, so I hope I'm correct.)

perhaps call the company today on that one. your response sounds logical though. i am hesitant on these things as repairs and replaceable parts should be commonly available.

nothing is generally said about this, so i step back and wait.

Another page for this bike explains it a bit clearer and shows a photo of the removable battery pack. I'm sure they are not cheap to replace, but Ive had good luck with Ali Express and Chinese parts.

I started looking at the support before I purchase anything online nowadays. Just check out the support, it's based out of Hong Kong. Don't even bother, if it's in the US I would consider it.

hydro brakes are 100% needed. these bikes are heavy as balls. avg norm bike is 25 lbs? these things are on avg 75 lbs +/- 10. the one im looking at is 110 lbs. you are definitely gonna need hydraulic brakes to stop. stopping from 10 to 0 vs 28 to 0 while being 3x the weight.. gonna be a problem.
