There used to be a guy on these threads that said Tesla would see 50% CAGR year after year.

He would say, they can't make 'em fast enough LOL

Of course, that was easily met when you start from zero. Not so easy now.
And it would be years before they would be able to meet the demand for the Cybertruck.

Disappointed with this thread. This isn't a political forum. This is a great lease with a significantly updated, highly rated car (watch some actual YouTube videos). Best in class for range, efficiency, hands free driving, and charging infrastructure from an American owned and built car manufacturer. The SUV version has been the best selling car in the world for 2-years running, so must be doing something right.

Not sure what this whole pitch about, but Tesla sales fell 6% percent last year in the US while most manufacturers recorded gains.
Obviously, an old model sold out as there is no production anymore, point here there is no waiting to pick up a new version same day if interested.
I mean, the market for EVs is a lot smaller than the market for other vehicle types, so when you consider most people don't buy a car every year, it makes sense that Tesla sales might fall, since all they produce is EVs, where other manufacturers might have recorded gains, as they typically sell a combination of ICE / HEV / PHEV / EV. Tesla is solely going to attract EV customers; other manufacturers are going to be pulling from a much larger customer pool.

I'd wager that if you did a side by side just showing EVs alone, and no other vehicle types, Tesla would be in an overwhelmingly better position than every other manufacturer, but obviously Tesla cannot compete in other categories where they make no vehicles that fit that category.

It'd be a little bit like comparing Amazon to Michaels. Amazon obliterates Michaels in sales, if you just look at the bottom line, as they offer infinitely more categories. But if you filtered it down to just art supplies, they would probably be a whole lot closer.

Trying one more time for Tesla funs, most manufacturers who produced EV recorded EV sales increase last year in the US while Tesla sales fell 6 percent, stats is available via simple google search.
Well, just wait till April 02 when Tesla will report global sales.
Not sure why compare Amazon and Michaels.
