Is there a way to estimate the general health of the laptop? In other words, is there a test to verify everything is in good working order? Test of screen life, memory, CPU checkout, etc. I found the following via AI for battery health, but is there a better recommendation?
To test your laptop's battery health in Windows, you can use the "Battery Report" feature, which provides insights into the battery's capacity and usage history.
Here's how to access and interpret the Battery Report:
  1. 1. Open Command Prompt as Administrator:
Search for "Command Prompt" in the Start Menu, right-click it, and select "Run as administrator".
  2. 2. Generate the Battery Report:
In the Command Prompt, type powercfg /batteryreport and press Enter.
  3. 3. Locate the Report:
The report will be saved as an HTML file in your user folder (e.g., C:\Users\\battery-report.html).
  4. 4. Open and Analyze the Report:
Open the HTML file in a web browser.
    • Installed Battery Section: Look for the "Installed Battery" section to see the battery's design capacity (when new) and full charge capacity (current capacity).
    • Battery Capacity History: This section shows how the battery's capacity has changed over time.
    • Battery Life Estimates: This section provides estimates of how long the battery can last based on design capacity and current full charge capacity.
    • Recent Usage and Battery Usage: These sections show when the laptop was running on battery power or AC power, as well as a history of battery usage.

Received yesterday - this is very much a disappointment. Not sure how they "refurbished" the laptop, but aestheticly, there are chunks - yes literal chunks of the silver coating on the plastic missing, and the edges of the laptop have patches of silver coating on the plastic missing. This laptop is certainly not a "Grade A" quality - it looks as though it's seen a war! It makes me ponder whether the HUGE lag time between processing and shipping was really inventory problems, where in the end, they decided to ship a "Grade C" laptop and call it a day. Not sure if anyone else had a similar experience - I'm pretty pissed and will be calling them on Monday.

I received mine as well. My unit seems to be the same "terrible" condition as yours. Grade C and not A. Sticker shows Refurbished by Reconext Supply Chain. Very disappointed! Planning to call and complaint as well.

Oddly, they sent me another laptop ahead of my sending in the old overly blemished one. I'm having thoughts about keeping the original one and not sending it back; any thoughts?

Received my second (replacement for the first) laptop over the weekend. This one, while aesthetically better, has very poor battery life and a cracked case by the USB port. I think this is it; I'm throwing in the towel & returning the package for my money back.
