I got this board with the infamous 7900X microcenter deal with 64 MB Flare X5 DDR5-6000.
The deal was amazing, but this motherboard hasn't been great, although it has improved with time. I can now run my ram at 6000Mhz reliably, but there's still a 40 second black screen every time I boot. At one point I wired up a secret switch to the clear the CMOS I was having so many issues getting the RAM up to speed.
ASUS release notes for BIOS updates don't provide any detail. BT, Wi-Fi, everything else has been pretty solid, although there is an inexplicable delay with getting ethernet to come back after sleep that I've never experienced before. If you're using Wi-Fi ti's fine.
But I personally wouldn't buy this motherboard again.
I have this board. It's been solid and has nice features, but the slow boot memory training is an issue, but I solved it!
Enable 'memory context restore', reboot. Enable 'power down', reboot. Problem solved.
It's frustrating these items are not enabled by default, however, they do fix the memory training on every boot problem.

This is the going price for this product at most sites (and it's cheaper elsewhere, like Newegg). Reviews are pretty scary too, looks like Asus might have some quality concerns over the past year or so.
Bought this for $230 around Xmas for a 9800X3D build. Night and day difference than my old 5600x. Solid board with tons of features (pcie 5.0, 3x nvme slots, wifi 6e)

I've had this motherboard as part of the microcenter 7900x with the 32gb ddr5 flare x5 combo (for 599). The memory training initial boot has always been very very slow. I added a second flare x5 kit for a total of 64gb of ram. The motherboard has been fine, other than the crazy long boot times. I have the motherboard pretty full, all m.2, sata, and most usb ports filled, and it's been solid since Feb 2022. I like it, other than the boot times.

U have memory context restore turned on? Also it is prob the ram fault not mobo bc micro center paired the combo with Samsung/micron die memory(there was a short period where is was Hynix tho)

I do and it's the same. But I do think you're right, it's most likely to be the memory that's the been most of the issue, but it's ASUS that I've been depending on to fix things. But it sounds like you know what you're doing, so you'll probably be fine. I just installed the latest BIOS 3222 and it hasn't broken anything.

Sorry, dude, that was a bad choice. I drove over to Microcenter on Jan 31 to pick up a bundle for a 9800 X3D build and, in no way, was a 650E board on my list of options. I spent less money on a MSI Mag x670E Tomahawk and it's a better, faster, board with more PCIE5 lanes, USB, and SATA ports.
You definitely got the better board, but I also have to admit that most people, especially gamers, don't need more PCIE lanes or ports. My next board will be X over B for sure though.
I have this board in my main rig now (mc bundle with flares). I had to rma the first one due to having random boot issues even after the many hours of troubleshooting. Asus replaced it with a refurb and it's working fine now, but every so often after memory training (which takes awhile on this board) the screen goes black and does not load into OS and I have to force it off and back on. Very annoying and I'm probably going to go back to Gigabyte since I've never had issues with their boards. The features are nice but I'm concerned long term for this board.
I bought one of these in November 2022, and overall I've been happy with the board. They had some major BIOS issues early on, so once I upgraded to BIOS 1616 (the first official release with the SoC voltage cap), I kept MCR off and it's been stable with DDR5-6000 GSkill 2x16 CL30 on EXPO I. Seemed like a lot of the BIOSes after that had stability issues, and I can wait the extra 20 seconds to boot (I shouldn't have to, but whatever). Someday I'll update and see if MCR works, but until then, it's stable. It's not a bad board, but there are probably better options by now.

What let you run memory at 6000MHz with the Flare X5? I haven't updated in six months, but the last time EXPO worked for me was with the original BIOS version. That Micro Center kit was a trap, lol. I would also never buy this motherboard again.

I got this with my 7950x3d 64GB CL30 bundle at MC. It was stable from the beginning, but I couldn't get EXPO settings to work without a BIOS update that came out like a month after I got it. Been rock solid stable since.
The biggest drawback is that you can't use the last full size PCI slot (which is x4) along with the last M.2 slot. You have to choose one or the other. I have a 10Gb NIC that I had to buy a riser card to move to one of the x1 slots since I added a 3rd NVME drive. Now the card can only do 2.5Gb since it lost the x4 circuitry.

Yeah, I'm sure microcenter came to regret putting this bundle together. If you run one of the last couple of BIOS, you should be able to run it just with EXPO. Before that I had to use some specific overclocking settings I found on a forum somewhere.
