I got the 65 inch QN990D 8k 2024 model bc it has the 3rd gen AI chip, this year's 65 inch one has the gen 2, this TV also has the gen 2 chip.

What's the difference? I'm planning on running most of my streaming content off Apple TV and bypassing the apps that come with the tv

Even if you buy a top tier TV with a fancy sounding processor. (Ultimate, AI, Quantum, Cognitive...)
After a few months the TV will start to bog down.
An external streamer is a much better route.
I would never buy a ONN product but I gotta admit that I was surprised at the quality and performance of the ONN 4K Pro [walmart.com]
It hardly ever goes on sale but I got one in Dec for 35 bucks.

This is definitely the TV I'm looking for next with the anti-glare screen, just waiting to get a little closer to $2k.
