It's their cheeky name for their service using AT&T's network. Their Verzion option is called Warp and T-Mobile is Light Speed. You can use any of the three networks and they'll let you switch between them, plus for $15 a month on top of their Unlimited Premium they'll actually let you have a line on a second network as a backup.
iPhone users who need group messaging and RCS should be on Warp or Lightspeed (carrier bundle was added in iOS 18.4)
Update: It looks like its working on the 18.5 beta 1
I like US Mobile…great customer service, fair pricing, teleport feature to switch carriers, and their Verizon "warp" services QCI 8 prioritization even on the cheapest plans and offers great service.

That said, not sure this is smokin deal but anyone that hasn't tried US Mobile should.

They have a 30 day free trial for new customers.

This is yearly payment. Don't do it. They rug pulled last plan
Rug pulled? I don't think you know what that means. The people that subscribed to that plan are grandfathered to that plan for as long as they wish to keep paying for it. They didn't remove it. They don't just suddenly change your plan, you stay on the plan you bought until you stop paying or switch to the new one.

I like US Mobile and I still use it but the Dark Star network is buggy as hell here. Randomly disconnects from signal every so often and I use apps like doordash and walmart spark and I would get offers on my phone and nothing would show up on my phone SEVERAL times a day. I switched to light speed (tmobile) and the issue went away.

I will have to try their Light Speed, my Mint Mobile which I like is expiring in a week and for $30 a month has been good, but this has way more features included for only $29. You get international and also a free watch plan. Not to mention free network transfers which really interests me cause VZ is garbage in the NW Chicago burbs around where I live but great in the city, while Tmobile is great in the burbs and good everywhere else, while AT&T has more rural coverage from my experience when traveling but just about average across the board.

They changed their "unlimited hotspot" wording and essentially butchered the benefit

Hmm...decisions. Not happy with the lastest Tmobile hike on my grandfathered plan,
switched from tmobile after 2 decades. They will charge you a fee to port out and cancel the line before bill cycle closes plus one months bill. If you close after the bill cycle, they'll charge you the entire month anyway.

USM Warp (VZ) is great as it gets VZ subscriber QCI (priority) so data speeds are fast.
Darkstar (AT&T) is lower priority (slow) unless you get the "Premium" (this deal) which gives AT&T subscriber priority. iMessage & Visual Voicemail etc are all problematic.
Lightspeed (T-mo) treats all MVNOs the same, so you get lower priority compared to Tmo post-paid. Switching between providers takes 10mins and is self-serve.

US Mobile international calling is no good as they disconnect calls after ~20 mins claiming it's abuse [reddit.com].

Tello is better for intl calling (Tmo mvno) - $25/mo unltd everything.

So the Verizon warp services are QCI 8 on all the plans? Even on the shared data plans? I'm looking into switching to USM from Xfinity Mobile sometime. We have (4) soon to be (3) lines that share data and (1) line on unlimited on XM currently. Verizon works well for us but the ability to change networks when we travel, etc seems great not to mention most likely higher prioritized data.

yes -- this is a helpful breakout on QCI by carriers [reddit.com]. It's restricted to the higher tier plans on all the other MVNOs.

T-mobile (Light Speed) is your friend. That is the way...

Do they use tmobile infrastructure? also does 2gb mean, 2gb data each month? Does it roll over if you dont use it up?
no, it doesn't roll over but I don't care. I got 2gb on ATT because it fills in all the rare gaps from tmobile. most months i dont use any data or much more than 500mb

100gb hotspot at full speed is very good tbh. Wondering if I should change from visible $35.

are you on iPhone or android .. if on iphone , do u need to always make calls from the gv app ? also some banks etc wont allow gv number .. how do u handle that ?

I'm wondering on this as well. On top of that, if they call the cellphone that I ported in to gv and gv forward that phone to the new us mobile number, which number will show on my cellphone? Gv number or the callers actual number? If it's gv number, I wouldn't be able to know who is actually calling me🤔🤔

The email they sent said for current customers to hold tight, that you'd be able to upgrade for your next cycle within a few days.

I just signed up to us mobile last night with dark star. Anyone know how do I take advantage of this?

2 GB 5g data per month, and no, it does not roll over if one does not use it up. They use all of the T-Mobile, Verizon, ATT leased MVNO cell towers like Mint Mobile. They also will allow one to recharge one 5g data if one runs out of 5g data in the middle of one's month it's like $2 per gb for 5g recharge data refill.
