I was at a Staples B&M when I noticed a sign (see attached photo) advertising:
25% off all Logitech products when you recycle in store. In-store only. Limit 2. Valid until 12/31/25
So I tried looking for the deal online and I see it on
Staples Recycling website [staples.com]. See attached jpeg. Just search for "logitech" on the page. When I checked on April 2nd, the online offering says this is only valid until 4/3. But when I checked on April 6th, the online offering says this is valid until
6/28.
Therefore, I'm inclined to believe Staples will continue renewing this promotion until the end of the year (but make sure the online promotion doesn't show as expired on the day you actually go to the store to take advantage of it).
What I know:
- I recycled ink and no Logitech offer gets printed on receipt.
- I asked the cashier how to use the 25% off Logitech offer and he said that I would need to verbally tell him when I'm checking out the Logitech item (and recycling) that I'd like 25% off and then he'd manually input some code to take 25% off. This was an associate at the Staples location that was explicitly offering the deal with a sign.
- I went back a few days later and tried to recycle batteries and get 25% off Logitech clearance items. The cashier kept trying to scan the promo code (from a list of codes that were printed on hardcopy) but the system wasn't taking the 25% off. So he tried it on a regular Logitech item and confirmed that the 25% off code does work normally. I asked about it and he said that the 25% off doesn't apply to clearance items but would apply to regular and sale items.
Unfortunately, I don't know:
does this expire 4/3 (per online) or 12/31 (per store sign)? I suspect this promotion will continue all the way to 12/31/2025.
- what recycling item counts (would recycling empty ink toner/cartridges, pens, and batteries work? or would you need to recycle something more substantial like a calculator, phone, printer, or computer?) note: I know from personal experience that batteries work
would the 25% off stack with other coupons or on sale/clearance items?
exactly how this offer works. like does this offer get printed on your receipt when you recycle in-store? or do you need to show the cashier the offer on your phone when you're checking out the Logitech item (and recycling at the same time)?
