Fantastic camera. Exactly the same as the FX3 that Greedy Sony gouges at over 3x the cost, just for putting a full-frame sensor into the same product that costs about the same to manufacture.

With EDU and Payboo at B&H, it's $1,318.20 final cost, no tax.

Zve10 ii + rs mini 3 + (sigma 18-50, sony F4 oss zooms or premium chinese lens), is about $100 more than your camera alone. I got used zve10 ii+18-105, for $1030 last week, so I could even get rs mini 4 for the set. You can always take advantage of huge second hand discount on less loved product like the zve10 ii, clearance product like the rs mini 3 and super popular product like the 18-50.
If you want better stuff, why Sony when refurb Canon r7 can be had for $$$, and refurb r5 for $2200.

Hi, with EDU verification, is it just a one time verification or do we need to re-verify each time we want to make a purchase?

It's worth keeping in mind that the classic Arri Alexa, still used to shoot nearly all studio films with gigantic budgets, has a Super 35mm (crop/APS-C) sensor like the FX30 rather than a full-frame sensor such as the FX3. The latter is nice to have, but really a minor factor compared to lenses and...well of course, talent in cinematography by a gigantic margin.

Geeks wrangle and get greasy about this debate, even though most of the time their creative and technical talents basically suck hard (so it doesn't matter).

Just one time verification, after that everything that has an EDU special price will be labeled EDU. You gotta link it to your account though and give it like 30 minutes to take effect.

I have this and the a6700. If I had to pick again, I probably would have just picked the a6700 alone, but I'm still relatively new to this. FX30 is bulky and can be hard to balance on gimbal if you are doing video and audio monitoring / recording.
