The only reason I would consider this is because it's through Costco and I can return it as soon as the bonded leather starts to disintegrate
These are not made with bonded letter. That would be a very foolish thing to do and I've never seen it one with bonded leather, These are made with plastic that looks like leather and in most circumstances will last a very long time. I've had mine from Costco for about seven years and use it multiple times daily. The faux leather has held up well but it squeaks a lot more than it used to.
S track was the old one, just down the spine. L track is also under the butt, but some companies started calling their L tracks SL tracks and the industry followed. It's almost hard to find an S track chair anymore they're pretty much all SL or just L (again, same thing)
3D means adjustable in 3 Dimensions, think X Y and Z.
4D adds the third dimension which is timing, you can speed up and slow down the movements.
Edit: Oops, I meant 4D adds the FORTH dimension.
Also maybe I was a little confusing about S and L and SL tracks. The point is that S is near extinction, and L and SL are the same thing.
4D makes massage balls to come out farther for deeper massage. Olders and cheaper massage chair dont have them.
We have these at work, and i can attest that many asses ride them throughout the day, and they have held up great! I've been watching them closely because i LOVE them, but am skeptical about their durability, as my fat ass has killed many recliners in my time...
I usually ride for an hour at a time (2 cycles of 30mins) and they seem to do great!
One day, im gonna spring for one... But just like boats and hoes, it's prolly just better to rent!
These are definitely made in China. By the way Osaki owns Titan along with AmaMedic and one or two more, their prices all jump around. The pricing is really weird on these chairs. Lots inflated retail and 50% off holiday sale!! Type of stuff. Honestly coupon codes from slickdeals from clearancechair, which is a marketing team for Osaki seems to have some great deals, directly from Osaki website usually has some decent bargains but list the chairs in order of price because any given time will see one chair $500 more than it was last week and another chair $500 less than it was last week..
About where they're made..
It looks like there are a few companies in China that make these - by the way they pioneered these things, even when they're made in Japan or USA the oarts are still mostly from China.. it isn't a bad thing or a low quality thing to be from China in this case, but there is a whole spectrum of quality level and it obviously corresponds roughly to price.
It isn't just one company though for sure. I have read that Osaki works primarily with a couple of companies. I-REST is one, you can find more on alibaba too if you're really curious. Just reach out to vendors there and you can get catalogs and compare.
In case you missed it, that's just how most things are made now, the brands you know like Osaki, or whatever else in any different sector, they don't make the products in most cases, they work with agents or directly with factories to make the products for them, then the brands we know and recognize deal with marketing and warranties and importing and all that.. Like it or not that's how almost all of the produced things come to us.
Also about the warranties, yes it's hard to get extended warranties but Osaki and the other reputable brands will still help you out if you're out of warranty, you just will have to pay for it but these chairs seem to last for quite a while, if you need to drop a couple hundred every 5 years for some repair or other, ok so what.. personally that isn't going to stop me from purchasing one.

4D only refers to the 4th dimension which is timing. 3D was the one where that third dimension was depth, so it would come out further and that depth would be adjustable.
It isn't balls though, if you look up a pic they are wheels, the 3d and 4d robots or mechanisms look very similar

Seems you're correct and they're PU. However, that's worse. Sure it's durable, but I'd prefer something supple for over $4k, not something that feels like I'm sitting on the table at a doctors office.

I have a far more expensive chair with similar PU leather and I can absolutely guarantee you that [aside from trying to split hairs on the internet with zero in person experience] you would not notice a difference with your eyes closed.
You have a reaction looking for a problem, not the other way around.

As someone with a full grain leather couch, yes I would. The PU "leather" they use in cars drives me crazy. That said, I get why they use it. Still would prefer real full grain leather in this price range.

Then you should also know that just saying full grain leather means very little. Chances are in a product like this you'd be getting very low quality full grain leather.

You get lifetime warranty at Costco
When I talked to the rep they told me this is a third party purchase only case verse by the chair company warranty

China
Yup and that's why anyone purchasing one of these should never buy direct from the manufacturer
