Talstar P diluted to 0.5 to 1 fl oz per gallon (keep that ratio if you go lower, eg 0.5 fl oz per 1/2 gallon to keep the 1 fl oz per gallon concentration, etc). You can also add an insect growth regulator in the same pump sprayer (I use Archer IGR at the same dilution as Talstar P). This is great for outdoor spraying.
If you need to spray indoor, get Transport Mikron Insecticide since Talstar P may leave a very thin whiteish film. Transport Mikron does not do this due to the formulation to be used indoors. The dilution for Transport is 1.25 oz per gallon. You can also add IGR to this.
Both these are pet safe as soon as it's dried. Make sure you wear long sleeves and pants, goggles, and gloves.
