To really save money, get a pump sprayer along with the bulk pesticide chemicals.

Talstar P diluted to 0.5 to 1 fl oz per gallon (keep that ratio if you go lower, eg 0.5 fl oz per 1/2 gallon to keep the 1 fl oz per gallon concentration, etc). You can also add an insect growth regulator in the same pump sprayer (I use Archer IGR at the same dilution as Talstar P). This is great for outdoor spraying.

If you need to spray indoor, get Transport Mikron Insecticide since Talstar P may leave a very thin whiteish film. Transport Mikron does not do this due to the formulation to be used indoors. The dilution for Transport is 1.25 oz per gallon. You can also add IGR to this.

Both these are pet safe as soon as it's dried. Make sure you wear long sleeves and pants, goggles, and gloves.

The YouTube channel Dan the Bug Man goes into good detail about this stuff. Watch the video titled "DIY Pest Spray Just Like a Professional - Inside, Outside, & Garage."

Highly recommend against these big box store pesticides. Do a bit of research, get a pump sprayer, and the appropriate chemicals in bulk. Spray regularly based on the label and you will have no issues with bugs. Plenty of amazing resources on YouTube for this.
It's not as easy if you live in California, as they ban certain chemicals. I've seen several videos already on what to bu,y and they recommend chemicals that won't ship because of state law

This stuff does not work for the ants I have (tiny black ones) invading my home. I got RAID traps and they worked much better.

I use atticus devito for a quick knockdown and the talstar p for residual protection. Their active ingredients are why I use them this way. No bug problems for me although I keep my house clean.
