It SEEMS like a heavy duty wheelbarrow. Appearance and specs are very similar to the Jackson 6 CuFt wheelbarrow (sold by Home Depot and many others). Both have 6 CuFt steel trays, and 16" pneumatic tires.
The tell is ALWAYS the weight. Craftsman - 45lbs. Jackson - 55lbs. 22% heavier is a big damn difference.
IMHO you should never skimp on a wheelbarrow. You may not have any immediate issues, but the first time it wobbles, digs in, rolls diagonally, or tips over off its legs.... It will be a huge farking mess, at the worst possible time. Buy once, cry once. Cheap wheelbarrows cost way more in the long run.

FYI, I'm 6'3" and the angle is off for me. The bar in front of the wheel scrapes everything unless I slouch down which is not good if it's loaded. I returning it
Check out the Jackson I mentioned.

If you buy one, sand the handles smooth. 180 grit finish. Don't be scared of 40 grit if you need it. Rather sand for a few minutes with a few pieces of paper, than days with one. A few coats of Linseed oil, should last a lifetime.
P.S. Check your tire pressure, keep it at the max rated .

good info
When I bought my house in 2021, first thing I got was a true temper wheel barrow from HD, I chose that specific one because my dad bought one just like it in 1990 and it was still going strong in 2025. They must have changed things up at some point because the one I bought lasted exactly 1 year of medium duty dirt moving before it broke in half. Huge difference in weight now that I think of it.

Not sure if this is an isolated case, but I just got back from picking this up and the location had none that were disassembled. The workers were nice enough to go inside and disassemble it enough to fit in my car, but I ended up waiting over a half an hour for that. I might advise calling ahead to see if they have any that are still in the box.

This can happen if it's assembled incorrectly, which mine was by Lowe's. I'm 6' even, no issues with clearance while maneuvering. Make sure you get one that's still in the box to avoid getting a hack job by a 15 year old employee.

Can anyone respond w an opinion. I just received a call from the store and asked, if I would accept the kobolt 6 ft wheel barrow. The craftsman is not available.? Should I accept it.
.I want the best wheel barrow and never looked at the kobolt make up,to know which is best. One kobolt is poly body and the other is steel?

Paper thin steel, cheesy brackets. If you need to move rocks, stone, sand, dirt - get something sturdier. Mulch would be fine.
Yep, it would work well for mulch, but anything heavy this thing would fall apart quickly. I did pick one up, and all the ones at my store were pre-assembled.
