Trying to figure out how this mounts. Not a fan of adhesive mounts and whatever the style, it has to unmount/mount quickly because it's not being left in an unoccupied vehicle.

I have the mini 1, looks like a very similar mount. Sticky pad to the windshield and has a sort of ball and joint socket connection to the camera. Camera just pops off that. Not sure if removing it daily would cause wear on that part of the mount or not?

Nobody is stealing dashcams nowadays. I live in nyc and even here nobody steals these cheap stuff.
I was thinking the same thing.
I have the Garmin Mini 1. It's great because you hardly know it's there and provides peace of mind. Well designed product by a reputable company at a reasonable price.

It comes with an adhesive mount but you can use Garmin's suction cup or magnetic mount for quick removal if needed.
garmin mini 1 "quietly" died on me in second year, the recording light used to stay on. since there is no screen, i didnt know it was dead inside. one day when i checked the micro SD card it was blank and nothing was on it. poor QC, bad part it, it died and I didn't know cuz the recording light would come on as usual. changed it to a VANTRUE mini which has LCD screen at the back and with better connection to the phone and resolution. its been more than a year and it works great. I wont be buying a garmin dashcam, esp one without a rear LCD screen again.

Not that it mattered, but leaving my dash cam in an unoccupied vehicle led to me capturing a phot of the guy that broke into my truck (and had been committing the same crime for about a month)…first time the cops got to see him. Of course, he was wearing a Covid mask - probably to protect himself from the COVID that was in the air at 2am while he robbed stuff.
