Worst refrigerator I have ever owned. Have had one issue after another and have had service 4 or 5 times already. Look elsewhere. j u n k

I have heard from a few appliance people that the fridges with the ice in the door are pretty problematic. Maybe it is true after all?

Icemaker in door frees up freezer space (at the expense of total ice capacity). Cons - compressor can make a bit of a 'whistling' noise at times, but they all seem to have their individual 'sounds'.
We bought this for the same amount about a year ago as well. We also do like the side by side water & ice dispenser. It's tall enough for all of our water bottles / Stanley's.
When the compressor comes on, it's definitely noisier than the GE we replaced.
One thing I don't like is that all the interior lights are in the back of the fridge — nothing is front-lit. Our fridge is always full, so those lights are only good for seeing what's all the way in the back. When it's dark, we have to turn on the kitchen lights to see what's toward the front on the shelves & on the doors.
Not a huge deal. Just harder to be sneaky about getting a popsicle late at night.
