Worse scores than the regular 9070. I'd recommend waiting for stock on the 9070 or better yet the XT

I agree... You could have gotten a 7900 XT 6 months ago for $620. With the 9070 and 9070 XT cheaper than this at MSRP, I would wait for one of those in this price range to come back in stock. Even the 9070 stock version is better than this, and someone has recently demonstrated that they have flashed a 9070 XT firmware to their 9070, and it now performs better than the 9070 XT! That's a lot of extra value for almost $100 less.

Its a gamble to keep waiting but if you use trackers the 9070 Gigabyte has been in stock for fairly long durations on both Amazon and Newegg for 670$. Most manufacturers are actually going to be facing significant cost increases from Tariffs as the "bypass" countries (Malaysia, Vietnam, Taiwan, Thailand) are all included this time around.. Expect prices to continue to rise in the short term.

back then i was idling around 60w with dual monitors so i didn't quite prefer that; not too bad trade off looking back

Looks like it was out of STOCK within minutes of this being posted! 7900xt is a great card....unless your planning to utilize the PCIE 5.0 which wont be fully even utilized for a few years yet then this is a great deal! If you want the absolute latest and greatest the 9070XT is a great card as well had some driver issues in the beginning but fine now. I am equally impressed with both of these cards, the power draw on the 7900 is a bit extensive but other than that paired with a 9000 seires Ryzen both the 7800xt 7900GRE and 7900XT are all GREAT choices...the hard part is finding a GPU in stock that isn't 3x the price by some ridiculous scalper...but there is only one COMPANY to blame for this and we all know who that is.
