Debating if it's time to replace my 15 year gas unit with this .
NO. If it's lasted that long, keep it.
New appliances typically last a much shorter time than appliances used to. I have successfully repaired (myself) a dishwasher, drier, range, and they lasted for 6+ years beyond the repair (may still be working; I sold that house).

Really wish i could use gas but my house doesn't have proper ventilation and adding a vent would cost 5x more than the stove.
You haven't done much in terms of price comparison, or considered doing the work yourself!
But honestly, I'm not a fan of gas - I have it, but would prefer electric. I'll replace it with electric, if it dies, and it's not something I can fix fairly cheaply (already 17+ years old, but still working).

For those curious about induction, try a Duxtop Induction single burner countertop option. I got this for under $70 (before tariffs). I don't think I'd choose an induction range, mainly because they're pretty expensive, but also because I prefer having non-induction burners. But I do A LOT of cooking on this single burner - well over half. And it boils water super-fast for coffee & tea.

You're saying gas ovens actually light the gas on fire?

Then what? You gonna tell me wheels are round?

In all honesty, I'd just be concerned if the audio alerts are long winded chimes. That's why I avoided LG ovens last time I bought one.

I ordered the electric version. It has terrible reviews due to the knobs apparently being really easy to turn on. It does have an electric lock so for $500 I can deal with that. Steal for the features you get.

same. Our oven baking elements shorted about two months ago. Problems with control board and our particular board is expensive. Then we found out that our "30" inch opening is actually 29 3/4. Looks like builder shored up the granite right up to the oven and hardly any decent oven measures what we needed. We gave up looking for the time being but this deal was enough to cave. wasn't looking for an LG but costco policy and service will make up for that as well as the incredible savings.

I have the same thoughts... we have a Samsung oven/range that came with the house we moved into. It's OK but the "dark" stainless steel has been peeling away (to reveal the 'real' stainless steel) and it looks hideous. It seems like it's working fine other than a few of the knobs starting to become brittle on the inside but it would be nice to upgrade regardless. I have heard the same things though regarding Samsung and LG and the stigma around them.
The new appliances are not build like 20+ years ago. If you have the old one that working great, don't replace with the new one unless not working properly.
