Yup - I always wonder what price people are reviewing items at. Are they reviewing this at $22 or at $10? I might be more generous in my review if an item is 50%+ off.

Agreed-
I think reviews should include the price paid. This would really kill some of the shilly brands that rely on almost giving the item away at first with big coupons to pump review stats then raising the price.

The Vine Voice notation is helpful so we know they paid $0.

That's not entirely true. Vine Voices get the products for "free" but have to pay income / self-employment taxes on the actual value of the products, courtesy of an IRS 1099-NEC. There are exceptions -- like on food and cosmetics -- but most products aren't truly free. Amazon's terrible about clarifying that point.

Less "skin in the game" but price is still a factor.

Do any of these actually work? I seen some different versions at Walmart, but they're pricey.

Whether its a paid Vine review or not, this zapper is under $8, which is hard to find. Due to price (and warm weather bugs coming out), I'm in for one. Smilie

I did an internet search for "STEM Flying Insect Zapper" to look at more reviews of the product.

I see that Target [target.com] is also offering this zapper at the same price. $17.49 - $10 Target Circle Coupon = $7.49. Free pickup if available at your local store.
FWIW, it's 4.6/5 stars with 292 reviews at Target.

The Zevo brand works pretty well, but I would recommend the Zevo Max when on sale (the one I have). You can get the knock off additional inserts that work just the same as the originals (if not better) for cheap.

Be careful with Target reviews too. Many of those are also paid:

You'll see "originally posted on influenster.com"
...which is exactly what it sounds like. Freebies for reviews.

Back side says Grid Voltage: 800V

That number is low and weak? wish it had more zap power. Internet says most bug zappers operate between 500V to 2000V AC. I need a 2000V+ bug zapper.

Cannot be used while plugged into the charger, according to this review [amazon.com].

There goes my half-arsed plan of leaving it plugged in for a day or two to get rid of the mosquitoes and gnats that like to get trapped in my bathroom during the summer. Probably for the best, as I would most likely burn my house down. I think something like this [amazon.com] would be more suitable for 24/7 indoor use...
