Wasn't '68 the Norlin era? Not sure why they would remake these- they're well known as being the worst Les Paul builds.

It's funny, when I first starting playing the guitar, I think a $1k guitar is super expensive. Now a $3.8k guitar doesn't even faze me. (I own several guitars in the $3-4k range, it just seems like a mid-range price.)

should be around 10.5lbs if its modeled after a 68. I doubt there is any relief like some of the newer models.

Yeah, I don't think they started drilling holes into the mahogany body until the 80s. On Sweetwater the same model is all listed around 9.5 lbs.
