Depends on the LG model, but right off bat the LGs have screen burn in issues. This can be a problem if you watch a lot of sports or have kids that leave the TV on all the time. If you mostly watch movies and things that don't leave images on screen for extended periods of time like score cards, menus, or heads up displays like sports, DVDs, and video games do then you should be ok. The blacks are almost always much blacker on LGs though. In all fairness I haven't researched TVs in a hot minute but I do remember Samsungs typically having more vivid colors. LGs are very solid though all around.

Burn-in only happens on the OLED TV's, regular LED TV's don't have that issue
