the general answer is if your car already has wired android auto, then this will work. it just converts existing wired android auto into wireless. it will not give you android auto to a car that doesn't have it.
Love this especially since you can change the resolution and dpi. My maps with the native wired was like 3 blocks radius you can see at once, I changed it to show like 10 times as much info now.

Only issues I experience are that it disconnects at very specific locations. Like one place on the freeway 95% of the time it disconnects while driving through there. Dont know if it is the device or some local interference.
I bought a few of the 1st Gen AA Wireless and they were great. I used it in a 2018 Accord and a 2022 Accord. I don't need one anymore because my new 2024 Accord has wireless Android Auto built in.

I also have the gen 1 version, and it's great. A few hiccups every once in a while, but it might not even be the device's fault. I chose this over the Motorola one because my USB port in my car is always powered. There's a setting in the companion app that tells your phone to only connect to the device if the car's Bluetooth is available (meaning that the car is on)

I have the same problem and noticed it coincides with dead spots with my cell service. I'm still not sure why that matters.

I got mine from Amazon a few weeks back, had to return due to battery drain after an hour use.
Drain varied but out of the multiple drives I took battery would drain 12-20% in an hour drive.

I might as well plug in my device and get a charge as well, so I returned it.

Device was used on S25Ultra no drops as others experienced.

for longer drives, yes it'll drain the battery. in my experience, wired android auto got finicky and connection dropped if i even just picked up the phone (tried changing cables, etc, and eventually happened with all phones). and it was nice not having to manually connect every time i got in the car (especially for shorter drives). using this to connect wirelessly ironically gave me a more stable android auto connection/experience. and i can charge my phone using a much faster charger so it doesn't have to stay connected very long.
