For $40 bucks, you can get a Sofirn SP35T Tactical, 3800 Lumens [amazon.com] I've got a couple Sofirn lights, and the quality is great. I have some Olights as well, but for handguns, and the Olight is also very high quality.

Just follow the Olight page on Facebook. People collect these lights and have $1,000's of dollars of them. I would understand if they actually were worth it, but it's just a fantasy value. There are tiers for collectors, and the more money you spend on the flashlights, the more rewards you get. And we are talking seriously big money. In the end, of course everyone can do and collect whatever they want. But the lights aren't any better than other highly regarded flashlight manufacturers which sell for half the price.

I get that this is a "sale" price, but you can get better lights for much less money.

Yeah. People show pictures of their collections and there are hundreds of flashlights in them. They could open a store. It's fascinating.

I have several sofirns and just inherited a few olights. The olights are very well made. The biggest difference I've seen is that cheaper high powered flashlights get warm/hot much faster, but you can leave a higher priced light on longer without it getting hot. Sofirns get hot quickly. With that said, I don't like olight's proprietary charging. Sofirns have USB-C. I also like the Anduril2 system used in some Sofirns better, once you learn it.
