Had the QP last night. Way too much mustard. Usually I eat all the burger at Chili's. This one, I couldn't get pass the mustard and stopped after 3/5th eaten.
So scrape it off? Or ask them to remake it? Pretty easy solutions.

In the TV advertisements earlier this year the chips and salsa were "bottomless" or whatever. Wonder if that is still the case? In the past I'd get the burger, stuff my face with chips and salsa, and swap fries for a salad and get the salad boxed up to go for later. Heck of a good deal! Still a good deal now too.

Also trying to remember if there was an upcharge for extra tomato, extra pickle, extra onion, etc. My favorite burger hacks are to add extra toppings to get a more filling meal Wink

If only there were a way to order it without mustard....

I'm not a big fan of mustard, so I usually ask them to hold that. And I'll sometimes order it with no condiments and then ask for a side of either BBQ sauce or A-1 to put on it. It's a nice change of pace from the usual burger dressings.

I don't mind a little mustard to balance sweet pickles, but a places like Carl's Jr. squeeze on a TON of cheap yellow mustard, which just completely ruins the balance, so I'd rather just do without mustard. I'm OK with a dab of Thousand Island "secret sauce" or Ranch. If you'd go BBQ, try Arby's Horsey sauce / creamy horseradish sometime.

Agree. Fast food *should* be clearly cheaper to reflect the lower quality of ingredients and shortcuts in prep, but that just means a lot of fast food is grossly overpriced. It is ridiculous how high fast food prices have pushed in the past few years. It is also ridiculous how high many sit-down restaurants have pushed their menu prices as well. We are now at a point where local delis and sandwich shops are no more expensive than fast food, despite higher ingredient quality and greater care.

Horsey sauce for the cold cut sandwiches and Bronco Berry for the sides. I actually never knew horse radish tasted so good with meats. I hated it when I was a little kid.
I even had it yesterday when I used a bogo sandwich in app offer for Arby's. I put it on both the Chicken Cordon Bleu and King's Hawaiian Deluxe Fish Sandwich. I ordered the latter sandwich without the tartar sauce it came with.

No comparison. Chili's deal much better. Almost 1/2 pound with fries, drink AND salad or chips.

$14 for a basic chain burger seems like a lot, considering the +$3 for tax & tip.

Dollar for dollar, Wendy's Big Bacon Classic combo straight off the menu is a much better deal.

EDIT: Who doesn't love a Wendys Big Bacon Classic? That burger's fantastic. Fresh, never frozen beef. Good quality bun. Whole leaf lettuce. Thick bacon. Quality-wise, Wendy's quarter-pound single / pound double burgers are consistently on par with basic chain burgers like Applebee's and Chili's.

I used to love Wendy's, but not for a while. My local establishment is just an embarrassment. I'm sure Wendy's elsewhere are still good, just not my local one.

Burger King was exactly the same just terrible. Local one recently changed management or something because they make the food fresh and correct again.

Have you complained about the location in your area? I have been able to get so many $5 credits on the app because I would give feedback. It is worth a shot if you are someone who can make the location better.

That deal is still a ripoff. A free chicken sandwich should not be worth $3.50. A $5.99 sandwich, should not be worth $3.50.
