Consider adding a few ounces of Swiffer wet jet fluid instead. It's easier on your floors and still drastically reduces the amount of algae/mildew. The clean tank stays crystal clear, and while the dirty tank will still accumulate some floaties of algae, its not enough to cause any nasty odor. I just do a quick rinse of the canister with a drop of dish soap after emptying and it's good as new. After getting our schedule dialed in, I only do emptying/filling maintenance about once a month.

We've had our refurbished revo for about 18 months now and everything still works great! In our home, I would argue it's on the same tier as the dishwasher and laundry machines for cleaning time savings.

I always add 1 drop of Dawn and 1/4 cup of vinegar to the clean water tank. There's no ordor or any buildup issue even though I only empty the dirty tank once a week

Really thinking about getting this. Are they notorious for something breaking on these? Over 3200 have sold and still more available. That's a steep amount of refurb units.
Also - for the cleaner, you always using their brand? Or doing something else more cost effective?

6 months into owning ours and couldn't imagine life without it. I use a cap or two of their cleaning fluid as they claim others can cause buildup issues which I don't want to risk. Leaves our vinyl floors spotless and shining. Does a good enough job in our room rug that I haven't had to use the vacuum there either. No pets in the house so can't comment on hair.

I bought an S8 Pro Ultra from their eBay store last year. Iit has been plagued by the charging error issues. It does have a 2 year warranty, however it's through All State. Roborock only includes a 6 month Roborock warranty on these from my understanding. I unfortunately threw the box away and now have to ship the entire unit to All State for repair. Hopefully they fix it, but we will see. I've read lots of "they sent it back to me and it still has the same problem" posts on Reddit.

Think I got a dud unit. Unit still had dirt on the bottom and was wet. Robot won't turn on or reset when buttons are pressed.
