These work great, but if you are cutting something thick you can get the meat of your hand pinched. The blood blisters are brutal.

Love these. Bought for $15 in 2020, so not a terrible deal all things considered.

I wouldn't really call these EDC shears, unless you are an actual electrician. Product dimensions are 6.13" x 3.13"

Yea for thicker stuff, angled shears are better:

Seems like these are for light duty, low voltage, type of work. More for people doing telecom work, cable TV, etc. Not sure these are going to replace an old school pair of wire cutters.

Tbh these are nice to use but the sheers are a bit too short for EDC use. They go through cables nicely however often times more of a pain because its a hassle cutting ckt labels or anything you'd otherwise use scissors for. Like the plastic packaging, wow big pain using these tiny scissor blades.
They go through thicker conductors ok-- but I would just use lineman's/stripper at that point for leverage so this often doesn't get as used as my traditional low voltage scissors. Those get the job done np.

They are electrician scissors. And many low voltage electricians, including myself, always have them at their side.

That said. I do not care for this style of electrician scissors. They do not work well for how I like to hold and use mine. The loops are too large.

As a low voltage technician I prefer to use these

https://a.co/d/1eGRjKW

Or

https://a.co/d/bYl3ldu

The titanium blades cut through copper cabling like butter. Just yesterday I cut about 10 x CAT6 cables at once. With your typical pair of electrician scissors you can usually only comfortably cut 2 cables at time. The only thing it's not good for is cutting the armor on armored fiber. It can cut through it but it will damage the blades. For stuff like that we use side cutters or a pair of lineman's. I also prefer the non sharpened tip since I tend to keep my snips in my pocket and I don't got to worry about it poking holes in my pocket or stabbing me in the leg. The handles are also insulated which can save you from getting zapped if you accidently cut or short something when working on active equipment. Some of my co workers use the Knipex scissors and as someone mentioned they work good when working on individual cables to cut down and strip. But the short blades are not good when dealing with the load of cables which is common when doing commercial work.
