I did have a heck of a time re-pairing it when I cleared my Bluetooth settings on accident. Ended up having to wipe the thing and start over. Only other caution is it uses a pin style custom charging base, so can't share it with anything else.
Depending on Google store deals they sometimes offer much more in trade offer than $75 if you are looking to get a discount on a trade up. I think the week after I got mine, they ran a promo for $150 on trade. That was around BF last year.
If I have AOD off, only use tilt-to-wake, and turn it off at night (I don't care for sleep tracking), could I get at least 2 days of use out of this? I usually only charge my fitbit Sunday night from ~20% to full .
Also is this really as fragile as users make it out to be? My Versas also were aluminum and I only had very minor body nicks after 3.5 years on the 3 (which I wouldn't notice without close inspection) and >1 year on the 4 (still mint). Wondering if I should have spent $90 on the Watch 5 Classic, even though I want a smaller device. GW5c would have gotten really good trade-in value assuming the GW8/9 adopt carbide battery and retain sapphire glass.
This would probably be a no-brainer if these watches weren't pure circles. Squircle design is definitely the best for smartwatches intended to be phone extensions. At $60 it's much cheaper than new, but I'm also going to lose out on glanceable information density, which is the main (but not sole) reason I even use a smartwatch.
