They will do a sale every other month at $39/yr but the $29/yr is excellent and only offered one or twice a year. Best of all this particular sale locks you in at the $29/yr rate for renewal and not all of the sales do this!
It's typically $69 per year without any promo. Mine was up this year in September from the $69/3 year deal. This locks me into the $29 price as my expiration date was extended.
This is from their website "You can use Windscribe on all your personal devices without any issues. But please keep in mind that the Windscribe service is strictly for personal use, so make sure those devices are yours and you are not using the service in any sort of datacenter environment or using it for commercial purposes. No one has 30 personal computers that all need a VPN enabled simultaneously or 25 phones that all need a VPN connection at the same time. This sort of extreme use will almost always get your account banned."

Some of the VPN's bundled with usenet subscriptions are pretty darn good. The one that comes with usenetserver is Privado which has been rock solid. I pay $20/yr for life.
I don't think they advertise a maximum number of devices, their support page says something like "use on all your personal devices but be reasonable we know you don't have 25 PCs"
I've used it on 3-5 simultaneously with no issues (phone and desktops).
More generally: I've been using these guys for a couple years now and personally I like them, over this time I've seen them roll out more features and more/better servers. I've only used one other no name provider previously so I can't compare to the big names but overall I like their desktop app (split tunneling etc. works well and otherwise easy to use). Server selection, speeds, and other features are all great as well.
Overall useful and very pleased, never had any issues. Occasionally you'll find a banned IP range with some websites, or cranky cloudflare, or be forced to do a captcha here and there (sometimes switching servers fixes it) but I think this is not uncommon with VPNs in general.

This is a decent price if you prefer to go on a yearly billing cycle and/or have a subscription about to expire. Plus, if it does lock you in at $29/yr that seems quite reasonable for what Windscribe offers. I've been on Windscribe for the last 8 years, and it's only gotten better in that time.
However, if you aren't immediately in need of a re-up, StackSocial will frequently (several times a year) sell a 3-year subscription code for $69 or so, which makes it $23/yr. These are always sold as "new customer only" offers, but they are able to be redeemed on existing accounts. I've done this all three times I've renewed my Windscribe service, and had no issue. It simply adds three years onto whatever your current expiration is.
Even when StackSocial has the 3-year subscription for $79 normal price, you can usually use their frequent 20% off coupon codes on that. I was able to get a 3-year renewal in November last year for $63, which takes it down to $21/yr.
May not be worth it to save $6-8/yr, but this is Slickdeals after all...
I have been using Windscribe for several years now. It's good to have. I'm just a casual user who doesn't mess with settings. So I don't know if I'm using it optimally. I use it on my phones, desktop, streaming boxes (Apple TV, Google TV, I don't know if it's necessary or not). I pay a locked in price for $10/year. The connection is fine and quick.

They just sent some stupid emails as if they were 5 year olds trying to justify ripping people off...
