It's going to take me all day to decide if I want this on the ps5 or the switch.

I think the main difference is 30FPS on Switch, 60FPS on the other systems. But portability is a big thing, not to mention it'll probably get a 60FPS update on Switch 2 anyway.

That said...as much of a massive Dragon Quest fan I am, I couldn't get into this one. Maybe it's because there's no story, or maybe it's the massive lack of quality-of-life features (can't adjust monster encounter rate so every few seconds there are battles, battle perspective is kind of weird, etc.), but I stopped playing maybe an hour in.

Massive fan of current or classic Dragon Quest games? I'm not judging. You do you. I want to know because I'm a fan of the classic games and want to know if I should buy this.

I guess anything from the DS games (4/5/6) and up. If you enjoy the classic games, it's a no-brainer to get this and the 1+2 remakes coming later this year. I just don't like random encounters or grinding.

The portability is making me pause on the purchase. I got the port for the GB when I was younger. It was the first RPG that I truly enjoyed aside from pokemon.

I will buy the physical on Switch and may buy a digital on Xbox later. I usually always buy the Switch physical so I have equity in what I buy. Digital games are worthless to the consumer in dollar resale value. Switch games will definitely hold vale going forward.

How is $50 for a 35 year old game a slick deal?
