As an avid box-connoisseur, Walmart.com is hit-or-miss.

Sometimes, they just send it in a plastic bag, sometimes a box. It sucks when you don't get a box.

Even when it does come in a box, Walmart boxes are low-grade. I greatly prefer boxes from Chewy.com - more durable and comfortable.

Every once in awhile though, the original manufacturer box can be spectacular. No idea if GIANNA uses good boxes.

Nice! Thank you, helmet-cat!

I need a new cat tree - puked on mine one too many times. It's getting a little funky.

I would avoid this tree. It is poorly made and not sturdy at all. It was literally not secured into the tubing and no reinforcement.

Agreed - we bought one and it's alraedy had two "indicents" with cats falling down with the trees as they fell. Made for great comedy, though, and no cats were harmed in the "sinking of the tree".

AFAIK, even cat trees with larger bases are generally "supposed" to be secured to a wall, like a shallow bookcase would be. There are frequently tags or hoops/hooks to do so.

YMMV, etc., and I've never actually done that, but if the price was right I could manage a screw. Or a weight on the base.

Does anyone else's cats not tear off the ropes within a month? The last 3 cat towers I have purchased, my psycho cats attack the rope first and will have it unraveled within a month. After that, it's no longer a tall scratching post and a constant battle on who gets to sit on the highest point.

Exactly this.

I have 10 indoor cats. (Yes, I'm a sucker.) I use the Amarkat brand cat trees. They are sturdy as heck, even when my 16 lb. chonk dangles from the top perch by his front paws as he falls down the tree. The sisal has also proved sturdy and only started unraveling after 8 years of abuse. Other brands might be cheaper, but these will outlast those cheapie brands!

Bought this exact one under a different fake chinese name off Chewy for $40 plus a $20 new account gift card.
Comes in a large box. If you have power tools, all the bolts are allen head. Use a power drill etc... set to lowest torque setting so you won't strip threads out.
Took me about 35 minutes with power tool. Without, good luck.
Check on the movement of the very top perch. It will come loose every few days depending on how much you cat uses it. Just got to give it a small twist to tighten it up.

The best thing when it comes to cheap particle board furniture it to not over tighten things.

Overall it is fine, the cat likes it. I shove all their toys in one of the cubbies and they sleep on the top perch.

Might I ask what 60"+ cat condo set might be sturdy enough for a raccoon? I seek your wisdom, box-master.

I've seen these get really woobly over time and I assume it's just they didn't use enough power tools.

Insert Tim Allen's grunt here.
