Also, one of the best things about the V15 is the easily removable battery, meaning even if battery capacity isn't at 100%, you can cheaply replace it for even a third party model. We did that with our aging V10 for a third party battery and it worked like new and held a charge surprisingly well.
We recently bought a V15 to replace our V10 and came out shocked at three main things:
It's dramatically more powerful than our old V10. Medium mode on the new model feels like turbo on the old model. It's weirdly also much more quiet and we can actually have conversations while vacuuming. I can use it for car detailing now
Its battery life feels considerably longer. Probably due to never having to use turbo mode because of how powerful the low and medium settings are.
Its slightly heavier than the V10, which seems like the tradeoff necessary for the powerful motor and battery size. We have mitigated this by using the flex stick attachment to reduce weight on elbows, and using the hose attachment when using it as a hand vac or when car detailing.

How did you buy the extra warranty?
How did you buy the extra 3 years warranty and how much you paid for that warranty?

If you need a good vacuum, get a Kenmore 200 for $200. If you have pets, get a Kenmore 600 for $300. They are fantastic vacuums that are ergonomic, sturdy, well built, powerful, clean extremely well, have good parts support, are user-serviceable, and most of all, affordable.
You don't have to spend $2,000 on an exotic Sebo or Meile vacuum, a good ol' Kenmore will do the job.
The Kenmore models you're quoting are corded vacuums. You're comparing apples to oranges. Not the same
Having said that, I've given a shot to all the dozens do recommendations to "buy something cheaper just as good!", but you get what you pay for. And in hour experiences when buying WIRELESS STICK VACUUMS (some people can't fathom some of us despise corded models"), anything that's not a Dyson usually has big trade offs when it comes to filtering (daughter and wife have severe allergies when vacuuming on non-Dyson models), suction power that limits it's practicality for carpets and car detailing, battery duration, or weight. And while I could buy something cheaper with one or more of those trade offs, I just don't feel like doing it when I could spend a little more for something with less compromises.
I'd be tempted to give a shot to something that lasts the test of time better since I don't find Dysons necessarily longer lasting than other brands, but it seems that almost all cordless models are more prone to failure than wired and bulky ones. And Im not willing to put up with the bulk and unwieldy form factor of a canister model just for more durability.
