I've been waiting for this one because it has the larger sensor, better low light performance, better audio, longer battery, new AI chips for faster processing, and it can record both flat and 360 mode at the same time which the X4 couldn't. I don't have an X4 because I was worried about the lens getting scratched and not being replaceable, but the X5 has replaceable lenses now too so I placed the order.

I just bought as well. I had been holding out on buying because the lens were easily scratched. But this solves the problem because I can replace them now if that happens.

You're getting a lot of extras for free/same price as the camera alone sells for elsewhere.

X4 bundle at Costco was $429 since it was on sale for $399 last month. And it's still $429 in stores, so the online X4 price is a mistake.

Note that some YouTubers provide coupon codes for free selfies stick or free lens replacement kit with the base model on Insta360 official website. Worse deals than this Costco option but just FYI

I grabbed the x4 $400 deal but never opened it just in case a better deal popped up. It's probably worth the extra $150 to me to return the x4 and get the x5 for all the reasons mentioned. Scratching the lens just once on the x4 would entirely justify spending more on the x5.
