Just a heads up these are lightweight racing shoes, not what most SD fat bodies should exercise in.

Are the good for running? I have Brooks Glycerins which I like and curious how these compare? Brooks and other like like shoes seem pricey even when on sale so wonder if these are a good, cost effective alternate?

It's 17mm heel stack versus 33mm in the rebel v4. Not even close imo.

I'm down for a pair of backup running shoes without the double stack. As far as the comparison to the V4's I came across this in reddit.

It absolutely is not a good alternative if you're a high mileage runner. If you do the occasional 5k once a week sure these are perfectly fine. But if you're putting in say 20-40 miles a week I would stay far away from these. These are NBs version of Black Friday TVs.

They're a racing flat, not a everyday training shoe. They have their purpose (unlike a Black Friday tv) and are good at that purpose, but they'll be less than ideal if you're using them as a shoe to run in on a daily basis

There are some Saucony Kinvara's that are a similar price on SD that are probably more what you're looking for

No, Kinvara's are closer to a racing flat. Glycerins are high cushion... think Saucony Triumph.

The Fresh Foam X 1080v13 on the same site would be your closest option from NB, and they are just under $70 in cart
