Might not be a SCAM by legal definition, but this entire business feels like a SCAM in my own personal opinion.

Why do you say that? I was thinking of taking my family

I was about to post that I can never replicate these deals. so maybe there's one set of random dates that work but by in large this is a bait and switch effort - here's an awesome deal, oh wait it can't be replicated - but you're at the site anyway so might as well as spend the money.....

I've stayed at the GWL outside Boston a few times, and paid a daily rate for the one in Sandusky, so I'm not a hater, I just hate the game they play with rates.

Not just the rates, but all the additional fees they tack on, plus everything is extra.

Your $180 room will suddenly jump to $250 at the final checkout due to (fees), which they don't allow you to view granularly. Just one line: Fees

Then, as others have said, when you actually get there, you discover that you just paid $250 for the opportunity to be nickel and dimed at every turn while there. When it's all done, you will spend $500 for a one night stay in a shabby hotel, and you swam in the pool.

Skip this SCAM (in my opinion).

I anticipate that. You're paying for a room and access to a water park. I'd never expect anything else to be free - is food generally free at any other hotel you'd stay at, for example?

I've been there twice at the Manteca location in California. There is some nickel and diming going on, but nothing more than any other amusement park I've ever been. There is a cat and mouse game, for example last time we wanted to stay two nights, but it was kind of pricey, so we stayed one night and that same night we got an offer to extend our stay for only an extra $99. It worked out. This place isn't amazing, but it is decent value if you have young kids. A safe space where your kids might run off, but it's designed with them in mind. The rooms were pretty nice and clean, so I'm not sure what others are talking about in this thread.

the only time I've observed good, attainable deals is for non-holiday weekdays
