Hi Slickdeals Community,

We recently rolled out our new mobile app to a random selection of iOS users (April 7) and Android users (April 15). If you haven't received the update yet, keep an eye out—it will eventually roll out to everyone, but not before we address a few critical issues outlined below.

The passionate feedback - both positive and constructive - in the forums, Apple and Google Play stores, and surveys shows how much you continue to care about Slickdeals. Some of these changes clearly missed the mark for you and we're working diligently to address them.


What We Have Fixed or Improved

✔ Loading Errors: We've resolved several crashes and loading errors, with more fixes on the way.
✔ Performance: We're investigating other performance related reports to isolate their causes and address them


Coming Soon

🔹 Commenting Upgrades:
  • Comments will be directly accessible on deal pages (no more extra clicks).
  • Pages instead of infinite scrolling will be added for easier navigation.
🔹 Deal Feed Improvements:
  • More deals per screen without sacrificing key details (i.e. vertically smaller deal tiles).
  • "New" tags returning for Frontpage, Popular, and Hot Deals.
🔹 Search Upgrades:
  • Recent search history will be restored.
  • Faster and better search results.

We're also reviewing and prioritizing your top requests, including:
  • New deal refresh button
  • Enhanced dark mode
  • Expanded deal alert settings
  • Quote notifications
  • Better direct linking

Where have you gotten positive feedback from actual users? I don't see any positive feedback across the app store or on your own forums.
