Apple EDU is coming, usually from June. So it will be about same or lower. like $1299 with some soft of Apple Gift Card.

For those who are on the fence and don't want to pull the trigger right now, you can get it through the Apple EDU site for 1,299. Yes, it's $27 more than this but the EDU discount is available to anyone. You don't need an EDU email address. Just an FYI for those who don't pull the trigger now.

FWIW, BH photo has the same price showing only for midnight. I reached out to rep and had them price matched the sky blue model, paid with payboo card to save on the tax.

This is the way... You can buy direct from Apple anytime for $100 on the Air line, 3% cashback if you have theApple Card as well. But yeah, if you can wait another month or two to buy during their back-to-school sale, you will likely score a $100-150 Apple Gift Card on top also. Save them $$$!

Thats good. It would not be a bad idea to try and hold off if others have back to school sales to try and match or beat Apple. Retail sales right now are terrible.

$370 more than the $900 base price we've seen on these Macs, and what you get is 8gb more ram, 256gb more storage, and 25% more gpu. Heavy apple tax imho for marginal improvements, but can be critical for many to get away from that 256gb base storage setup.
