The retail on these wouldn't be $799 anymore, if Apple still sold them directly as new, because that's the cost of the M3 model. So this deal is lukewarm at best.

I've probably asked a good amount of times but looking for a definitive answer. Is the iPad Air m2 powerful enough to edit digital photos? I'm not doing anything heavy like video editing etc. just standard plugging in of a digital camera and editing photos. I'm a newbie to photo editing so I'm not needing anything special.

Since local Target does not have the color I want, I asked Sams Club (price $749.99) for an ad match, it refused. I picked up one at Target this morning. While Best Buy, Walmart, Target would do ad match, Sams would not. If Sams cannot compete with Target in price, they will lose customers.
