Letting people know its on GP, let's people:

Try before they buy.
Try/Play it, because you didn't want to pay for it, outright.
Play it, because that's the whole point of GamePass.

Yeah honestly the GMG programs have gone through a lot of changes. It started out as the VIP program where it was invite only with nebulous requirements to get VIP status (I was in the program since I used to purchase EVE Online subscription cards from them, along with a few games). Then it changed into the XP program with different tiers but you'd have to maintain an annual purchase amount to keep your current tier or be downgraded a tier...

Then they went and just made tier level achievements permanent.

So when one of the members was looking at your deal, they had a GMG account but didn't have any XP program tier. I think most people will qualify but there will be some people that will fall through the cracks if they have some older account with no xp program status or opt-in.

But I wouldn't expect most people to keep up with all that mess laugh out loud

Edit: Oh, there also used to be tiered discounts on games, where like bronze might be 15% off, silver 20% off, and gold 22% off for example, but I haven't seen that in a while.

I think it is because Microsoft kind of did them dirty by releasing Oblivion Remaster shadow drop style two days before the game released. At $50 MSRP if you believe in putting your money and support behind someone that deserves it instead of a large studio making a money grab, then supporting Expedition 33 is a no brainer.

Me too. So this game can become a big success...

So that five years later, they can have 300 employees, get bought out by some AAA studio, and completely lose sight of what made them successful in the first place...

Seriously though, it looks/sounds like a good game.

Most of these guys came from Ubisoft that formed this studio. Ubisoft has 19,000 employees. They are showing and can see themselves that a small team is capable of putting out something better then a large one.

For anyone on the fence, it is an incredibly looking game. It feels like you are playing a movie, specially with all of the cutscenes that have an excellent animation quality and voice acting. The fight system is turn based with a party and block element when you are on defense, so it feels like a Souls Like in a way. The story is incredible too and captivating. This is honestly a AAA game that was developed by a team that had no business punching so much above their belt. They honestly nailed it. My only complaint is that it is not multiplayer, because this is a game I would definitely love to play with someone else! It works perfectly as a single player game. I do not even play this kind of games and I am hooked on this one.

Reviews are going a little bit crazy for this game. I don't care for turn-based, but this has some kind of real time block/parry mechanic when you're on defense so I might try it out
This is exactly me. I never liked turn based but this game actually looks like something anyone could enjoy and definitely well made.

If it doesn't win GOTY then voters can't claim to be gamers. It is a masterpiece, very rare these days.

This game is INCREDIBLE. I have only played for about 6 hours, but holy cow it's amazing. It will appeal to so many different types of gamers. If you like traditional turn based JRPGs like Final Fantasy up until 10, you will love it. If you like soulslikes, you will probably like it since you can parry and dodge in combat. If you love great stories you will love it. The graphics are amazing as well.

How's the Unreal Engine 5 performance? Hate that engine.
