Some are reporting issues with a newer update.

GOG may be getting this soon which would be cool.

I remember getting a face hugger with the Collector Edition and then Sega sending everyone a second one because the tail was prone to snapping off. I still have both

Marine missions were cool but I personally didn't like the Alien or Predator campaigns. Neat concept though, playing through the same maps (on the same timeline) but with different abilities, mission structure, access to different areas, etc. In theory I think you are supposed to be the antagonist and protagonist in the story...could be wrong.

Also, I think all the DLC maps are useless these days as they are multiplayer only and MP is dead.
Plays great on the Steam Deck.

*FOV is really weird / narrow (probably sub 60 deg) and doesn't seem to be an way to change it even with editing game files.

Will wait for the GoG version and hope it drops to the same price (or less).

Definitely too late now. There was an email from Sega and a link you had to go through to provide info to get the replacement.

Hardest game I've ever played. Loved this game, but there are no saves. For the predator mission, I could never even beat the first level. Didn't make it too far in the Marine and Alien campaign either. This was waayyy back in the day.

Not sure what game you were playing but this definitely has saves.

If you're talking "waayyy back in the day," you're probably thinking of "Aliens versus Predator" from 1999 and re-released in 2000. What you're describing does not match this game. I just played this one again today, and it definitely has saves, and it has difficulty options, so it's not very hard. I haven't played the 1999 one in over 20 years, so I don't remember if that one didn't have saves, but that's most likely the one you're thinking of.

He's probably just being a bit dramatic about the "way back in the day" but he could be talking about the Colonial Marines one sega had about 13 years back. That was one of those games i "checked out" for like an hour or two and then it immediately went to back log LOL. I don't remember it too well but if it's the game I'm thinking of, it was a bit hard playing on your own because it was designed for co-op I believe (kind of like Dead Island or something like that). Or maybe you're right and he's talking about the one from '99 and games were way more challenging back then from what I remember (original xbox years). Game saves were few and far between - like you had to complete a level or a mission before you could save it. Not saying that game was like that but there were a lot of frustrating game designs back then.

Anyone looking for a challenge, the "stay frosty" achievement is a nightmare!!! (if I remember the name correctly..) This is the only achievement I really never got. You had to beat the Marine campaign on hardest difficulty. It was crazy hard!

It couldn't be Colonial Marines, since he mentioned playing missions as a Marine, Predator and Alien. The '99 game had separate campaigns, just like this one. Colonial Marines didn't.
