I bought this a few weeks ago and just returned it yesterday in favor of an X1 Carbon Gen 9 refurb.
Positives: Beautiful display, powerful for actual workstation use cases--video editing, etc.
Negatives: Awful battery life with the OLED screen, which I found was a big hindrance to my satisfaction with the notebook. Youtube in Chrome would often have weird artifacts when resizing windows. I had to download the latest drivers from AMD to deal with some cursor lagging as well, as the out of the box drivers from Lenovo Vantage and Windows Update still had an issue.
Overall for someone looking for a portable desktop replacement machine it is a great machine as long as you can get past some initial hiccups. I, however, found that I prefer better battery life and touch screen IPS display of the refurb X1 Carbon Gen 9 from eBay at less than half the price.
Paid a few hundred more for the Intel version of this laptop a couple of months back and am very happy with it. Frankly, I think the Intel is the better configuration. The AMD version has had repeated reviews which have been critical of battery life, particularly with the higher res screens like the OLED. If you really want this one, I would look for or wait for one on Lenovo Outlet - likely a recent return, and usually available at an even better price.

EDIT: I have Intel with the 155H, 64GB, 1TB, 2.5K screen, integrated GPU, and 75 Wh battery upgrade.
The Intel is a better configuration ONLY if battery life is your main priority. I (like many people) am not away from an AC outlet for days and if I were, I have a power bank in my bag to fully recharge the laptop. Personally, I'll take a high res, high refresh rate OLED screen over a 60Hz 1200p IPS screen any day.

https://www.lenovo.com/us/en/p/la...ded#modelsI'd add that the Thinkpad you referenced includes a discrete GPU where as the ThinkPad in this deal uses an integrated GPU so I'm not sure they are what you call "comparable".
whys the battery on this one 52.5 Wh when the others are 75 wh do you know? 52 is kinda small for this

AMD isn't available with the bigger battery. Intel has the option of going with the 75 Wh.

Good question. Looking at the build, it seems the AMD certainly had room for the same battery as the Intel version. It's almost like the two models were designed by different teams in different countries and never collaborated together.

I have a 25000mAh power bank in my bag. It will fully recharge this laptop when on-the-go. It cost me around $39 at the time. I'm not obsessed with battery life, though -- more so getting great specs/performance and the best display features for the lowest price.

They are two completely different computers. Different case, different screen sizes, etc.

WRONG! They are both ThinkPad P14s (one is AMD and the other is Intel) both with 14" screen hence the "P14s" model. The links I posted were to show the guts of each where you can see the system boards in both take up about the same space, but the intel one has a higher capacity battery that would have fit in the AMD version.

The Intel version of the P14s is a new chassis with a 14.5" screen and 3-cell 75W/Hr battery. This is straight from Lenovos website. Comparison video for the Intel vs AMD versions. https://youtu.be/gP_mVlpW8f0?si=sU8QyWvSETM3oR_h

The point of my comparison above was to show the similarities of the internal guts of the two models and how similar the real estate is inside. I also made the point how different the two were by stating they seemed to be designed by two different teams who never compared notes so it goes without saying there are differences.

I had an AMEX offer for $75 off. Got confirmation within 5 minutes.

I couldn't figure out a way to get cashback, though.

You might want to watch some YouTube reviews of the latest OLED laptops to gain a new understanding on how an OLED laptop can easily go all day and more when designed properly.
