pH is neutral for granite cleaner, all purpose cleaners are not. Neutral won't dull the surface over time by slowly eating away at the sealant, or worse, etching the rock.

I bought this three step system years ago for my granite now quartz counters at my new place. They look as great as the they day I moved in. Not because of this stuff though, I never use it. 😂
Do you use any special stuff to clean quartz? I am just wiping with little hand dish soap and water. While for most times it works, there are spots like space near sink and a kitchen island where some stains or dull happening.

Would this work for manufactured stone like Corian?
Granite Gold markets this as a multi-surface cleaner, including Corian: "This ph balanced granite cleaner is so gentle it can be used on any finish and it also works great on engineered surfaces like ceramic tile, porcelain tile, concrete, Formica, and quartz surfaces such as Corian, Silestone, Terrazzo, Caesarstone, Cambria, and more. Granite Gold daily cleaner can be used in kitchens, bathrooms or anywhere in your home that needs a clean shine."
I normally use the Granite Gold Quartz Clean & Shine (f/k/a Quartz Brite) product on my quartz counters when I actually need to clean them, but I've used this also. I usually keep a bottle in the bathroom to clean the marble vanity.

I use Bob Vila recipe for homemade granite cleaner. For a thorough clean, I go over with a gentle sponge with dish soap and follow up with a wet microfiber to rinse. This has been working well for me for several years. Most modern seals don't seem to require much maintenance, my current home has Hydroshield on it. It is still important to clean up acidic spills quickly (e.g. tomato sauce).

I guess it depends on the surface you're trying to clean, but this is more of a daily maintenance kind of product. I would not expect it to remove any difficult older stains.

I have a random, but related question, since there is a thread about granite. I recently started developing a 6 inch long crack in my countertop, running along the middle of the thin spot in front of the undermount sink. Anyone have any experience with this? I am thinking maybe there is some sort of sealant resin that can by applied that will flow down in it to kind of seal the crack. Not only to hold it together, but also prevent water from going down in there and making it worse. Any advice is appreciated.

The ingredients list for granite gold daily cleaner is just water, alcohol, SLS, and fragrance.

Using diluted Dawn Powerwash Foam would do the same thing.

I have Dawn Platinum Powerwash and am returning my order.

Water 7732-18-5 Diluent
Isopropanol 67-63-0 Solvent
Glycol Ether DB 112-34-5 Coupling Agent
Sodium Lauryl Sulfate 151-21-3 Surfactant
D-Limonene 138-86-3 Fragrance Ingredient
Citral 5392-40-5 Fragrance Ingredient

Had the same problem. It's caused by the backing steel rod under the granite getting moisture and rusting, which causes it to expand over time and eventually crack the granite.

There's a company called sureshine that has some videos on YouTube of how they fix it. I shopped around and found a local guy with lots of experience doing just that type of repair. If you want it to last, they have to cut out the granite, take out the rusty rod, re-install the granite, blend it in to match, then apply caulk. It's been good as new for 5 years.
