Be careful when checking out and using the coupon. If you paste the coupon in, and just click continue, the coupon isn't actually applied. You have to paste the coupon in, then hit the right arrow. Only then does it actually apply. Clearly a tactic by Amazon to hope that people don't notice it wasn't applied. 😠

The above is via the Amazon app on iPhone. I suppose it might be slightly different on other platforms, etc..
I have three of these units and they've been pretty good so far. It's not true 4k, more like 2k I think. One is an F7NT, which is a touch screen. I'd recommend that one. I have my unit connected to a Blackvue B100 battery which is then connected to the cig adapter. This allows me to run the cams when car is off without having to hardwire to the battery. RedTiger support is pretty good too.
This one doesnt come with starvis 2 sensor, hard pass

For Red Tiger:

I purchased the Elite as the voice control was an added benefit and wanted the rear camera I could mount externally for best clarity.

Agree that the front camera may not be true 4K but in practice it's pretty good and features seems better than most. Support from Red Tiger thus far has been very good.

If looking for non-RT, Viofo A229 Plus or even A129 Plus or Pro Duo are sometimes just above the price range for the RT's and well-reviewed.

Did you set your camera to 2k or fake 4k? Could you tell if there is a quality difference?

This will be our third Redtiger. We have 3 vehicles. It was easier to just keep it in the car. We were in an accident. In the dark. It video was pretty clear. The camera put the footage of the accident in a lock mode. We were thankful it did. The driver tried to claim. It was not their fault. This is a great camera. 2 years later. Still works great 👍🏼

Did you set the resolution at 4K or 2K? Can you notice a difference?

Good deal, but I went with the 7pro for the starvos 2 sony sensor, and to make sure it had a super-capacitor.

I saw a video on Youtube but i do not know which cars one could do this?

The power cord iis not long enough - so I could not hide it. Manuf (no this product) didn't send it to me.

So people stupidity/laziness is Amazon's fault? Yep, makes sense
Yes, amazon is notorious for making design decisions in this way. Between unintentional audible subscriptions, actually talking to customer support is a hellish task buried deep through multiple screens of fine text, the process for cancelling subscribe and save orders is many times more difficult than signing up for one--it is clear this is part of their business model/design philosophy.

Fyi you can get this model cheaper "open box/refurb" from redtiger's eBay store with a 2 year warranty. I have 2 with no issues.

I have the fn7 and surprisingly support is great with them. For the comments that mention it staying on and off you can buy a voltage regulated switch from them that replaces the main power wire allowing it to record while the vehicle is off unless the battery voltage drops to a value you set. This works great and I have had it for about six months with no issue…

are there any of these that work WITHOUT requiring an app that demands access to your wifi, microphone, storage, and probably contacts?
