Newsdemon had a $20/year deal that was still active a few months ago, but it looks like it's now $24/year which is in line with the 6 month in OP. UsenetExpress backbone (DMCA). Great service.
Newshosting still has the $25.05 for the first 15 months. Renewal pricing is ridiculous, I'd turn that off. You can also stack that deal for multiple 15 months if you wish.
Had some farm blocks but found it pretty useless for my setup.

I've been searching for a chart like this for years.
For newsdemon, if I pay 6 months with credit card, will it automatically renew at the same price, what if I don't want to renew, do I have to cancel manually? 2) how safe to download videos/music without triggering dmca here in US?
My main is usenetserver, which is an omicron backbone with udma takedown policy. (used 99% of the time)
My backup is newsgroup direct which is usenetfarm backbone with ntd takedown policy.
newsgroup direct also includes 3 smaller supernews, usenetfarm, vipernews which are on a combination of dmca and ntd takedown policies.
In addition to this you need an indexer, I use two, NZB Planet and Drunkenslug
Usenetserver comes with privado VPN with 10 simultaneous connections, this is required for torrents.

SABnzbd with an .arr stack. If you're trying to do what most people are trying to do with Usenet these days. Also need an indexer like nzbgeek.
There's a bit of a learning curve here, much depends on what you're trying to do and with what equipment. There are plenty of start up guides, just realize most of them are affiliates of particular providers and some of their advice may be tailored to those providers. You'll know if it's for you with a little research.
I've been using SABnzbd and nzbgeek for years.. they're my go to. I wanted to switch from usenetserver because they're so expensive now. I haven't been able to catch any long term deals for it in the last couple years

I use a capital one card that lets me use virtual cards, I pay for whatever time and then lock the virtual card, when the auto renew pops up it can't charge. I used to use vpn for my usenet downloads ( sometimes I'd forget with torrents and would always get dcma emails from comcast) but quit using it for usenet and have never once gotten an email. I'm sure someone is tracking it somewhere but comcast doesn't seem to be.

Just email them and they will renew at the old price

The only answer I've gotten from people is they get saturation of their download speed.
I use it to download all of my Linux ISOs
He better check his spam folder, everybody got it, it's why I left them
