Sateen fabric, not flannel.
he cant because he doesnt know what he is talking about

thread count means nothing especially when you consider $600-700 percale cotton sheets have a thread cotton under 500 nearly 99% of the time

the 400 count threshold cotton sheets are some of the best value sheets in the game, get softer over time, cost nothing so replaceable after a few months to a year

this is Target's eBay storefront so you could get used items but the return process is simple

this is not that good of a deal as Ive seen the regular colors of 400 count threshhold 100% cotton for a bit more on Bullseye

the best Threshold sheet value are their 800 count set on Bullseye for $25-30 (normally $90-100) - a little bit softer and stretchier, comes with 4 pillow cases not 2
I don't have the holiday variety, though I have bought 21 (yes that's not a typo, I went to my order history and counted) of other Threshold 400 thread count sets (all prints). I have enough that I am not rotating one set for another, on the same bed every week or so, and I use them also for guest beds. So I am not "pressure testing" them per se, so I don't have the best durability info to share. But as far as great sheets for the money though, I really have had to stop myself. I started using them a couple years ago.

Your 1200 thread count variety are often blends. Part poly and part cotton. Not digging on that, there is a use case and a budget that is different for each person.

I have spent $70+ on a deal for a high end brand, made in usa, that was actually 1200tc, 100% cotton. My husband is a bigger dude, and he sweats and turns in the bed. He destroyed those sheets in a matter of days. They didn't even get to their first wash cycle.

I find these Threshold 400ct to be soft, smooth, and durable to date, plus they survive my husband. They also have elastic aids in the corners, and markings for top, bottom, and sides to make making the bed easier. They also come in a custom made package of the same material, though I don't think I would ever be able to fit them back in for storage

So you want to spend a bit more to get the 800's, it may be worth it to you. I just have not had experience personally with those, have not been following their pricing (like I do with these) and am not sure if SD community would accept $30 as a price point for them (otherwise I would have posted)

Someone needs to talk me out of these....I bought so many last year (and have been waiting for the price to drop!), and I just love the holly berries print and the pine trees, but I have so many of these Target sheet sets already!

Threshold Performance Cotton sheets are great for the price. They're not extremely durable; I've had them tear after 4-8 years of use which is still rather good considering you're paying a fraction of the price. I prefer to have a constant rotation of sheets across several beds so that they last longer because they're not being washed/dried as frequently. Way cheaper in the long run than having a couple sets of very expensive, durable sheets that you're frequently running through the laundry.

I nabbed a queen and a couple full sets of these holiday sheets. The queen is for actual bedding; I quite like the ivory tree pattern. I got the full sets for reusable gift wrapping. Get some ribbon and you will impress friends/family with "fancy" wrapping when really it's just discounted sheets and ribbon you are going to get back from them. No more paper waste

Thanks for the explanation.

For the color I want, I'm seeing Hotel Collection 800 count set.

Do you have any idea the difference between Threshold and Hotel Collection?

400 thread count? Wouldn't this feel like sand paper compared to other brands that have "1200" or "8000 mega soft" thread counts, or is this soft because of the material?
