Does anyone know how much it weighs? And is the keyboard similar to XPS?

I would be concerned about the long term longevity of these snapdragon processors. Seems like they're "just enough" today.

My wife's current laptop has some low power Intel core CPU in it that has lasted 10 years but has finally gotten a bit slow.

A low end Intel cpu from 10 years ago most likely has a Passmark score of 2000-3000. This cpu scores over 20,000. I think it will be fine. The processing power isn't the problem. The problem is software support. This is a new processor and slowly software companies are starting to support this cpu, but for anything that isn't supported it has to run through emulation which takes a big hit performance wise.
