"The 83-inch model shares a lot of similarities with the LG C4 OLED. It uses LG's Alpha 9 AI Processor Gen7, supports a 144Hz refresh rate, has three USB ports, and has a 2.2 channel speaker system, all of which are the same as the C4. Due to these shared features, we expect the 83-inch model to perform more in line with the C4. However, it doesn't have LG's Brightness Booster technology like the C4 does, so it isn't as bright overall."

That's totally fair and thank you for the correction. It's really for the brightness for me personally but for the $1k difference, I'm sure it's hard to tell. Apparently the upscaling is better too. The real jump is to the G4, but that price jump is even bigger.

Yeah, even though I have a truck I went ahead and pulled the trigger on the Costco deal with free delivery over the LG Partner deal. It'll be here Friday, the price came out to barely more than the LG store with their worse warranty and month long delivery window. Well worth the few extra bucks. For reference:Costco deal:5 year warranty (2 factory+costco, 3 allstate), local pickup or fast delivery, $100 gift card taking it down to $1,899LG Partner:4 year warranty (1 factory, 3 LG by Asurion), slower delivery, noted nightmare situations with LG Partner $1,869.98So actually yeah, if you want the warranty package, the Costco deal is 100% the way to go. Somebody feel free to correct my napkin maths if I'm off.
Don't forget 4% Costco cash back rewards with their Citi Card

83" B4 is a reskinned C4, alot of people don't know that.
They finally sold out of the B4 83" at my local Costco, it was on clearance for 2 months which is a long time to clear TVs at Costco, by contrast the 77" cleared out in 2 days. $999 vs $1499. Both were amazing deals. 77" is perfect size for my space, had an 85" prior and it looked gaudy for my smallish living room even after 3 months of ownership.

Rtings. Scroll down to the section that explains the difference in size variants, it explains it. It is only for the 83".

What's wrong with the Magic Remote? The one Costco gets is a special variant with NFC. I only have LGs with the normal Magic Remotes, but have always thought they were fine.
